I thought your adaptation was brilliantly creative. I loved all the quirky elements to it: the grumpy puppet, the use of dance, the varied characters (the African pastor in particular), the witty wordplay, up-to-date comedy (loved the health and safety officers) and the use of audience participation. Charlie Hill, head of drama at Westminster Boys School, review of Much Ado About Nothing

Synopsis

Our brave soldiers Benedick and his friend Claudio, along with their captain Don Pedro, return from the battlefield to the comfort of Leonato’s home. They are met by Leonato, his daughter, the beautiful Hero, and his niece, the feisty Beatrice.

In the Summer heat, love finds its way into the hearts of Claudio and Hero and they become engaged. The local vicar, the big and bubbly Mother Frances loves a good wedding!

But what of Benedick and Beatrice? They love to hate each other and hate to love each other. Can you help us play a trick on them to make them fall in love?
