Camp Description

We can't wait to kick the year off, as we always do, with a Shakespeare play-in-a-week! And what a play. King Lear - one of the greatest tragedies ever written. It's got it all - kings, fools, goodies, baddies, storms, revenge, despair, hope! It's an extraordinary story - and we'll be ending our week with an Infinite Jest adaptation of this timeless tale.

Along the way, we'll learn about Shakespeare and the Elizabethan/Jacobean age, we'll become great Shakespearean actors on the Globe stage, we'll learn theatrical storytelling techniques, such as stage combat, puppetry, and mask. We'll use our bodies and our voices and our imaginations to create characters. We'll sing and dance, and express ourselves in other ways - crafting, drawing, designing.

Above all, we'll make new friends, grow in confidence, and have the best fun ever!

What you need to know

How do I book wrap around times?

On Pebble, wrap-around is known as Add-on which you can book when you pay for your camp place. You can book wrap-around after you've booked your camp place but NOT through Pebble. You'll need to email Henry at info@infinitejest.co.uk with the name of the child and the hours required.

What to bring?

NUT-FREE lunch and two snacks; labelled water bottle. We move about, go outside, do crafting and drawing - ensure children are dressed accordingly.
